One morning, at the Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, a pair of Indian foxes (Vulpes bengalensis) had isolated a Chital (Axis fawn), and were closing in to make the kill, when a tiger appeared from a nearby thicket and took over the chase. The exhausted fawn trotted in the direction of the road. Just then, a tourist vehicle came on to the scene, stopping the tiger in its chase, allowing the fawn to make a quick escape.
